The MJCollective is a contemporary based class with the elite dancers and staff. They will be working with this team to help them build their artistry and development. There will potentially be extra group pieces that compete. This is in addition to their mandatory competition weekly classes.
This team is not mandatory, To be considered for the MJ Collective, please complete the application and email it to mj@mjsdanceli.com. Selected applicants will be contacted for an audition.
Movement Journey Collective Details
Once a week, your dancers are invited to be collaborating with Aydin, Trevor, Katie and MJ for an hour and a half workshop class (separate from summer session) that includes mentoring fellow dancers in their growth and performance skills, as well as build on their own talents and abilities.
MJCollective will be a class for our young artists and teachers to come together, talk, choreograph together, create new innovative pieces, and allow our students to become teachers -as well as create their own choreography and give their input. It's a place for all of us to continue a safe community where our dancers work together and help each other to create their best selves, and maybe even their best work.
There will potentially be extra group pieces that compete, and other performance opportunities.
If your dancer is accepted following auditions, they will receive a contract outlining the expectations of the MJ Collective.
